ST GEORGE, UT-Winning a match on the second night of playing is a diffucult thing, but the Dixie State volleyball team was able to overcome a second game meltdown to defeat Grand Canyon25-20, 27-29, 25-23, 25-19.

With the victory the Red Storm completed a two game sweep of the Antelopes and improve to 8-3 overall and 2-0 in PACWEST play. 

Leading the Red Storm in today matinee was Freshman outside hitter Brita Noble (Taylorsville, UT, Taylorsville) who had 18 kills. She was followed by Senior OH Katie Luna (Mesa. AZ, Westwood High '05, Scottsdale CC)15 kills and Sophomore OH Alex Shearer (Park City. UT) 14 kills. 

The Antelopes were led by Caelen Hiller's 19 kills. She was injured midway thru the third game, she did not return to play.

Dixie State will travel next week to the Bay area before returning for four games in five days at home.
